The NAVAC visual identity is anchored by a custom illustration that tells the story of the aquatic value chain through the people who live it. Designed in a geometric style, the panoramic scene showcases figures from the five project countries engaged in their work along a shared coastline. Rather than using maps or data to represent a global project, the illustration brings it to a human scale, placing community and nourishment at the center of the narrative.
As lead designer, I was commissioned by FAO to develop the complete visual identity and communication materials for NAVAC, an international food security initiative funded by the European Union and operating across Chad, Colombia, Guinea Bissau, Mauritania, and South Sudan. The scope covered everything from the initial logo wordmark design to a full suite of print and digital materials in four languages, providing the project with a cohesive visual identity across all its communications.
